Cephods
Cephods – Pitch by Trish King: „Cephalopods solving increasingly difficult mazes/problems/games“
This project places somewhere inbetween a game, an idea, art and nonsense. About half of the dialogues were written by friends for me to adapt.
I’ve made a video with all the animations so you don’t have to search for each one in the randomised dialogue options within the game. You can watch it here on YouTube.
Flower Panda
Flower Panda – Pitch by Ceri Moran: „A red panda who collects different falling flowers into a boot, but if the panda touches a falling green pickle, the boot explodes and you have to start collecting again. The golden bamboo shoot doubles your score!“
Minigame about pigeons and respect
JLR’s Pigeon Project: A game inspired by John-Luke Roberts‘ short pigeon documentary on the Short Cuts Podcast.
JLR is a British comedian and pigeon friend. He’s got an absurd number of brilliant projects. I’d recommend checking out all of them, but for example listen to his Sound Heap Podcast.
Playable on touchscreen or with keyboard.
Some poem-inspired minigames
Queens: A game inspired by designs by Emily Juniper and poems by Tim Key from Tim Key’s Poetical Playing Cards.
Playable with keyboard and a bit more fiddly with mouse (you might have to move the cursor out of the window, if you play with keyboard).
This way to infos about Tim Key’s work:
And this way to Emily Juniper:
A Taskmaster-themed Super Mario version
SuperTaskio: A short platformer game with mechanics inspirred by Super Mario. It refers to the brilliant British TV-show called „Taskmaster“, in which eggs, rubberducks and coconuts are recurring props.
Playable with keyboard.
You can find out more about the show here:
Minigame about holding hands and flamingoes
FlamingoCatch: A game (loosely) based on an anecdote by Vix Leyton.
A stranger took your hand mistaking you for his girlfriend. You‘ve got to preserve the connection and only got one free hand to catch all the flamingoes. Points for flamingoes caught with your free hand. Game Over if a flamingo hits the pair of holding hands or after 60 seconds.
